Brand Identity
State of Stick — Brand Identity
Section titled “State of Stick — Brand Identity”Brand essence
Section titled “Brand essence”State of Stick is a premium emblem and collectible product brand built around rugged identity, bold design, and physical products that feel durable, display-worthy, and collectible. We are a real American laser studio. Andrea and Amy Cozart-Lundin make every piece in Battle Creek, Michigan.
We sell:
- Retail emblem drops to flagship retailers via a tiered wholesale program
- Custom brand drops for businesses that want their own collectible line
- Premium Brand Activations — wall pieces, microsites, and launch packages as one bundle
- Statement Pieces — premium custom wall art with certificate-of-authenticity
We don’t sell:
- Sticker-tier commodity work
- Logos slapped on generic Etsy inventory
- Soft, cute, decorative product
Brand personality
Section titled “Brand personality”- Bold
- Gritty
- Premium
- American-made
- Tough
- Collectible
- Detail-obsessed
- Visual-impact first
If a design choice would be at home on a craft fair table, it’s wrong. If it would look right hanging in a flagship retailer or a tattoo shop, it’s right.
Brand promise
Section titled “Brand promise”Built to Stick. Made to Last.
Every product should look strong, feel premium, and hold up over time. Every page on this site should reinforce that promise.
Tagline directions
Section titled “Tagline directions”Primary:
- Built to Stick. Made to Last.
Secondary / contextual:
- Custom Emblems That Stick.
- Built to Represent. Built to Endure.
- Designed to represent.
- Premium finish. Strong impact.
These are not slogans we cycle. The primary tagline is the anchor. The others are situational.
Voice and tone
Section titled “Voice and tone”State of Stick speaks:
- Direct — no fluff, no hedging
- Confident — the work is good and we know it
- Sharp — every word earns its place
- Product-proud — we lead with the product
- Slightly tough — workshop-floor energy, not boardroom
- Premium and practical — high-end without being precious
We do not speak:
- Cutesy
- Startup-fluffy (“revolutionize”, “disrupt”, “synergy”)
- Soft luxury / lifestyle-magazine
- Apologetic or overexplained
Voice examples
Section titled “Voice examples”Right:
- “Built to last.”
- “Designed to represent.”
- “Premium finish. Strong impact.”
- “Custom designs. Small runs. Big presence.”
- “Collectible products for brands that want to stand out.”
- “Turn your wall, storefront, event, or brand story into a collectible experience.”
Wrong:
- “We’re so excited to share our amazing new collection!”
- “Discover the magic of laser-cut art.”
- “Elevate your space with our luxurious emblems.”
- “Premium handcrafted artisanal collectibles for the modern aesthete.”
Audience
Section titled “Audience”We are not selling to everyone. The brand should make the right people feel addressed and the wrong people feel like this isn’t for them.
Primary audiences
Section titled “Primary audiences”- Flagship retailers — card shops, motorsports, outdoors, breweries, tattoo, barber, vinyl, skate. People with a real storefront and a real audience.
- Brands that want a destination — restaurants, campgrounds, stadium-adjacent businesses, tourist stops, festivals, nonprofits, local brands going premium.
- Collectors — people who already buy patches, pins, cards, coins, vinyl. They understand serialized editions, certificates of authenticity, and chase pieces.
- Studio peers — other makers, designers, and creative-industry buyers who appreciate craft and pay full price for it.
Not our audience
Section titled “Not our audience”- Bulk-promo-merch buyers shopping on price
- Generic gift-shop tourists
- Soft home-decor / lifestyle shoppers
- Anyone who would describe themselves as “minimalist” in the beige sense
Positioning
Section titled “Positioning”State of Stick sits at the intersection of:
- Premium retail brand (think Topps, Yeti, Stance, Iron & Resin)
- Custom maker studio (real hands-on craft, small runs, named editions)
- Connected collectible system (every piece is serialized, every piece has a digital story)
That intersection is the moat. Sign shops can’t bundle the digital layer. Sticker vendors can’t deliver premium craft. Etsy sellers can’t run a real wholesale program. We do all three.
Why we’re different
Section titled “Why we’re different”- Pay-when-you-succeed wholesale. No upfront costs for flagship partners — we share the win.
- Digital layer on every piece. QR / NFC / cert pages turn a physical product into a connected collectible.
- Real founders, real American studio. Andrea and Amy, Battle Creek, MI. Founder-signed pieces. Real names, real hands.
- Built on Cloudflare edge. Sub-100ms load times globally. Cert pages stay live for years.
- Multi-tier engagement. From a $300 starter retail kit to a $22,500+ Mural Brand Activation, we meet the buyer where they are.

Brand summary (one paragraph)
Section titled “Brand summary (one paragraph)”State of Stick is a premium industrial collectible brand. The visual identity feels rugged, bold, and product-driven, built around black, steel, white, and orange, with Precision Cyan as a selective secondary accent. The site and marketing look like a cross between a premium retail sales sheet, a modern industrial brand, and a custom laser-crafted product studio. Everything feels durable, high-contrast, sharp, and built to last.
