Standard and Verified Taps
Every connected product should describe its trust level honestly.
Standard tap
Section titled “Standard tap”A standard interaction opens a managed digital destination. It is well suited to product education, stories, instructions, offers, campaigns, and general engagement.
It demonstrates that the connected destination was opened. It does not, by itself, prove that one specific authentic object was physically present.
Verified tap
Section titled “Verified tap”A verified interaction uses supported secure capabilities and server validation to provide stronger evidence that an authentic physical item was present.
It may support authenticity, limited-edition claims, warranty or entitlement workflows, provenance experiences, and other programs that need stronger anti-copying safeguards.
Honest reporting

| Verified | Secure evidence passed the program’s validation rules |
| Invalid or replayed | Submitted evidence did not pass or appeared to have been reused |
The selected product specification and approved project scope determine the included trust level. Secure credentials, validation construction, device configuration, and production procedures are not public documentation.
